Just over two weeks ago we re-visited Street & Company with a group of six.  Apart from the side-effects of over-indulgence, Street & Company remains one of my favorites.

For starters, I feel obligated to re-iterate that Street & Company is far from over-priced as some other critics have suggested.   For wine lovers, there is a fantastic bottle of a Greek red, the only one, which is a bargain at $25 per bottle.

As far as the weekend, Street & Company delivered on every level.   Pasta was just right, whole fish well seasoned, lobster delicious, sauces were indulgent, deserts were sinful, and the atmosphere and service brought it all together.

I probably should clarify a comment about the food.......  Street and Company makes good food, but it's not the "best" food.  What I mean is that "best" implies a surreal, one-of-a-kind dish that takes you away.   At Street & Co. there is room for disagreement;  too much garlic, too heavy of cream, a little too much salt.  However, none of those things matter because the end result is still good.  It is not my role to weigh in on proportions of seasoning unless the food is bland or unappetizing.  Street & Company Restaurant is certainly a place I will revisit time and time again.
